Northeastern Pa. | I've watched Andy since he started the channel. I also visited the farm, but they were very busy harvesting silage. I went the wrong way going to his farm and first went to a farm that must have been part of the family. Same set--up but I don't think they milked there anymore. As we found our way to Andy's we met silage trucks going in both directions. The farm is near Syracuse not far west of I81. It blows your mind on how they do it all. One of his videos shows him feeding cows at 3am. Then it's off to the shop or fields. Very long days.
I might be wrong, but he has 3 daughters and 2 sons working with him. The oldest son is a little camera shy and does the major engine overhauls. They can all weld. He made silage bodies for customers with some improvements he found along the way. They go through a lot of brakes on those IVT tractors. I told him he might want to try a Fendt. That's what the manure haulers run in our area.
I give them tons of credit to hold that camera and be on it all the time. I couldn't ever do that. I'd be editing it all out. He doesn't make any drama up he has enough. | |
