What brand do you plant? Are you saving back your own seed?

Like everyone else I’m looking to save as much as possible in 2025. I’m in NE Missouri and plant anywhere from a 3.5-4.5 maturity on my full seasons. Double crops aren’t consistent yielders - can range anywhere from 12-50 bu/ac depending on August rains so I hate to get $50/acre+ wrapped up in the seed

A premium would be great but I’m mainly looking at this from a cost savings standpoint instead of a premium grab. I’m guessing they’ll be plenty of non gmo corn/beans grown next fall and there won’t be much of a premium to get anyways with so much on the market.

Like around 3.7 maturity here the best. NGMO double crop beans that plant don't have any Variety Patent or PVPA protection.

$12 bu NGMO beans + $2 bu cleaning = 24 cents lb = $12 per 50 lb unit x 1.5 units per acre = $18 acre
chemical cost to keep them clean = about $30 acre + $18 = $48 acre
