Mrs The Pretender has a 2009 Ford Fiesta with the original battery. What's more remarkable is that this is a low mileage car used almost exclusively for short journeys, it takes her 8 minutes to get to the train station.

My car will be 14 in March, I replaced the original (very small) battery about 5 years ago. A lot of short journey, often sits for days and sometimes a few weeks at a time.

My bike will be 13 in March, it's had 2 replacement batteries, it only did 1000 miles last year and sits for weeks

Number 1 Massey I use has just turned 11 and had the batteries replaced last year, Number 2 Massey will be 12 in March and had it's original batteries replaced a couple of years ago.
