| I bought my wife a 17 Ford Escape used in 19 just before we got married . She loved it and we did nothing but oil changes to it . 3 years ago Jan 22 we traded it for a leftover 21 Escape hybrid . Most of her driving is at non highway speeds of less than 50 mph and it gets 50 mpg other than winter with idle warm up time . Alll it’s needed has been oil changes and a couple recalls . It has a Ford connect app that’s awesome . It doesn’t plug in, gets its high mileage by running on electric at lower speeds, the dash says that most tanks 25% of driving is by electric . It’s amazing how far you can drive without the engine running at all . So those electric miles are basically free as no electric cost , it charges as you drive and charging harder with electric braking . | |
