I didn’t have any love for Subaru growing up, until I went to college. Roommate through all of college had an older Subaru with AWD and 270k miles. He never worked on it and even in decent snow he could climb through it, I was impressed
I usually go with ford most of the time, but I’d be looking hard at the Subaru if I were you
