I had a battery in a 2000 yamaha 4 wheeler last 17 years. Used regularly and ran a spot sprayer in the summer. Next one lasted 2.5 years. I think how long batterys last is partially related to how much new lead is used in them. When lead prices are high, they put more recycled lead in the pot. "Dirty" lead doesnt work as good in batteries IMO.
