Malta, Illinois | Reminds me a bit of kid we had in grade school way back when. He wasn't a bad kid most of the time. He got pretty good grades and could be fun to be around. And every once in a while he would just kind of snap or morph into another person. He was insolent, vulgar, and violent. Not just with the other kids but with staff also. We were quite shocked by this behavior because we had never seen anything like it in our little country school. Kids being kids we soon discovered what would set him off or his "triggers". Some of the kids went out of their way to provoke him and trigger the bad side of the kid. It was entertainment for a bunch of kids who didn't know any better. That kid actually went on to be a pretty successful guy and does quite well. I often wonder if he still has the Jekyll and Hyde personality. This guy kind of reminds me of that kid. He seems fairly intelligent and provides some comments that make sense. Once in a while he snaps and runs off the rails. It seems some folks here spend a lot of time trying to provoke him and are sometimes successful. No doubt the man has issues but all in all he is fairly harmless. He is his own worst enemy at times though. | |
