I don't think you'll be happy with feed flow through a stuffer when you've mixed in enough ground hay/stalks to satisfy your ration requirements. I'm not even sure how you'd mix and deliver that into the stuffer, hard to auger when it gets that bulky.

Self feeders really need to be paired with feeding roughage separately in most cases, either they're getting it from bedding or a bale in a ring or limit fed in a bunk but hard to run it all through the stuffer unless you want to babysit it a few times a day and make sure it's not bridged.
