S.E. Sask. | If something looks too good to be true it probably is. I ignored that a few days ago and placed an order for some Baffin winter boots at a price that was a fraction of what you might normally expect from a named brand I've known for years. Pictures looked exactly like the boots I've bought before but never from that site. Address bar showed the safety padlock which should mean it is secure. The charge showed up on my credit card the next day from a company named "Grand Fortune Technology Hong Kong". Far as I know there is no Hong Kong in Canada but too late, the transaction is done. Went back in my browser history to look at the site and it is not there anymore. (www.baffincanada.shop). So I blocked the card before any other bad stuff starts to show up. Still had a year left on the expiry of that card but better to be safe. Maybe I'm being too careful and the boots will show up in the mail but I'm not betting on it. |
