So last year we traded our new Holland Moco with urethane rolls in on a brand new Deere c450 Moco with V10 rolls. In the spring it did an amazing job in wheat and triticale. No problems at all. Then came Fall and the forage sorghum. Complete disaster and disappointment. The mower would build up on the cutter and not feed though the rollers uniformly. Leading to it pulling big wads through and choking up plus smoking the belt. Everyone said lower rpm’s and drive faster. So we dropped the 6120R from it and put the ole 7800 on it for more HP. It sometimes helped to drive faster and low rpm’s, but not always. The dealer has no clue about mocos and forage sorghum. I have been asking for 3 months of a forage territory guy from Deere that I could speak to that potential deals with a lot of mocos and forage sorghum. They just keep telling me they will have some one call. Been 3 months and still no call even though I remind them frequently that I have not been contacted.

Never been around Deere machine but on another color making the gap between rollers a little wider made a big difference in cane.
