Western Oregon
On the escape hybrid, can you switch the gas engine off and drive 30-50 mph without it starting, for a 6-10 mile trip to town, on windy county road and through/in town? Also, do they charge when you let off gas pedal (coasting) to a stop? Called one pedal driving. It is hilly here. Thanks....James

Have always had GM. I am looking for a new vehicle, small, front wheel drive. We have a 2006 Chevy HHR. Love(d) it. GM doesn't support it very well for new electronic parts. Dealer says they can't get new parts, recommended junk yard or E-bay for Hvac controls. The used replacement part has gone bad again, now has to have fan on high all the time. Noisy and have to control with temp/air con knob, not fan speed.

Looked at the Ford Maverick hybrid. Then started hearing about problems. Liked the price but then they went way up. Like the Bolt but they keep changing their mind. Wish they made it in a plug in hybrid. Looks like Ford, Toyota and Honda are the experts in hybrids. I like the little Chevy EV pickup that has been shown.
