I understand much of that, and resemble it.

Whatever shed any of us build, it’s never quite big enough. And that’s ok.

I’d consider the height of what you are planning. 2 feet higher might not cost very much and might offer a lot down the road.

My 48 by 81 machine shed has 14 foot sidewalls with the scissors trusses. So the door opening can be 23’6” by 15’9”. With your narrower building you won’t gain a whole lot of height but yes that can sure help out.

Builders don’t like working with old wood any more. Back in the 1950s dad built a chicken barn for 400 chickens from the old house and old pig barn on the place. Hired handyman and dad and another part time ‘slow thinking handyman’ pulled nails and cut to fit. It’s a very sturdy building to this day, but unless you have family that helps labor costs and ambition to do such a thing is lacking these days.
