I've taken videos and pics several times over the years. With the outside stuff, I open drawers and doors, taking videos with narrative, and read serial numbers of machinery, as well as any identifying marks.
Inside, I do the same thing- open everything and describe, room by room. When it gets to the "big-boy-toybox" in the spare room, I pull them all out and lay them out with a card that shows the brand, model, serial numbers, scope info, and take stills of each, as well as the other stuff in the "toybox".
It all goes in flash drives/ thumb drives, and a copy is in the toybox and another copy is in a safe in another building.
This reminds me that it's time to do it again. | |
