Ripon, CA | It's a combination of growth, environmental laws slowing down preventive measures, funding, utility companies not maintaining power lines and environmental conditions. 2 of my cousins lost their homes in the Eaton fire today and my Aunt and Uncle (their parents) are evacuated from that fire. I grew up in SoCal as a kid on a dairy down there with the Santa Ana winds and they can be quite powerful. | |
