I’m not aware of any way to shut the gas engine off other than being gentle on the gas pedal .
On the display screen you can select power flow which will show when using electric or gas drive . Yes letting off the gas pedal will kick in “ regenerative braking “
With the Ford app on your phone you can see gas levels , odometer, vehicle location and also lock / unlock doors and start the engine remotely if you have cell service .
