Wisconsin | Goats are better. Ronald Reagan presidential library among others, uses goat grazing to keep the vegetation down. Lots of the footage shows yards with the brush cut way back down the hill, so they know part of what they have to do. The other part is fighting the fires, they can't abandon whole neighborhoods with embers blowing down out of the hills, it will mostly be lost. Homeowners who stayed have fought the fires.
This will probably be less than 1% of LA's housing, in the scheme of CA, not a big deal, they tear down and rebuild houses like it's fad anyway. The insurance has a whole lot more reasons than just wildfires for rates going up or getting out of CA. | |
