| That’s a challenging crop if that’s what you’re looking for. There’s not much labeled for weed control, Diuron is really hard on it regardless of what anyone tells you. Think of alfalfa when planting it don’t over pack and plant shallow as possible in moisture. We had good luck using canola plates on thirty inch rows into heavy wheat stubble. Then pre emerge with dual.
The fields you grow it on will have a lot more weed pressure in the following the crop.
Harvest simply sucks. The moisture requirements are very dry and it is very flammable. I felt it was much worse than flowers.
I would grow it again if the price was right. Yields were 500lbs-1000lbs.
