About 6 years ago, I was in college and worked for an ag retail place most of the time and went back to the farm when I could to get more hours there

The ag retail place used old school analog clock puncher and card stock time cards. I actually never minded using it and it worked.

Makes me wonder why when something works good enough, we always have to find a way to change it, many times for the worst.

There’s always ways around the nonsense electronic/GPS based stuff on your phone that companies try to use. I’m an advocate for the old way of clocking in and holding people accountable if they lie about hours. It’s that simple, and if you treat folks right and let them do their job, the work will almost always get done well
