East Central, Nebraska | i used trimble for guidance for a number of years and got along okay. I later moved to ag leader and have been very happy with how they manage guidance lines. I recently purchased a trimble 2050 and am also not impressed with the way they manage lines. its pretty frustrating coming from an ag leader system. if your wanting to move to ag leader for that simplicity i think it is a wise move. i want to warn you though the reason i needed to add a trimble system to my fleet was due to ag leaders shortcomings. ag leader relys on a third party for implement guidance and when i was in the market it was difficult to find a company to sale and support it. ag leader is still lacking other guidance solutions such as camera based guidance and row feeler guidance as used on a cornhead. they did though recently release a gigantic display that no one asked for, perhaps maybe to block all the sun out of the cab so you can see how badly one needs implement guidance. that was a joke but you get it. point is if your needing implement guidance or other you may think twice of moving to ag leader, otherwise i think what they do is great. | |
