He has to get the calf where it will take a bottle first. Not going to do much good with a sedated cow if the calf isn't sure footed and ready to nurse.
Agree with this. Won't do any good to get him with mom until he can nurse.
Got him to drink a bottle this morning. But really bad at it. He wants to drink from the side of mouth.
