Even if you are over 59 1/2
depends on circumstances at the time, totally. No one size fits all cookie cutter explanation. But as pertains to question above, unless client is in dire cash flow circumstances and older than 59 1/2, I’d much prefer see them convert than surrender a hundred grand, money that could be much needed as they get older and are no longer, or able to work to make up for income shortfalls.
