Central Illinois | I have had 2 trucks, both bought new, with the 5.3 liter engine. 2011 Chevy used oil at about 2 quarts per 5000 miles. Ran it 195,000 miles. Sold it in 2020 and the new owner is still running it. The other truck is a 2019 GMC Sierra and it is a totally different 5.3. 56,000 miles no oil use and has more power than the 2011 ever had. I have thought about trading up to a newer truck, but the GMC will not leave for quite some time. | |
