Our financial advisor also advised us to pay medical bills out of pocket if we are able to, and letting the HSA to continue to grow. In the future we can pay ourselves back for expenses incurred today with the HSA that was allowed to grow tax free. I believe that less than 5% of hsa holders use this strategy but it does make good sense when you run the numbers.
