Was interesting the one time I had the fire crew out, my hay rows caught on fire. Always hear let the pros do their job don’t get in the way. So I figured I’d be tied down on the far side of the fire trucks….
Instead, do you have a loader? Well I didn’t I had a 3 point bale lifter… Can you pull the bales away we will hose you down…. So I was the fella grabbing burning bales, and they were several dozen feet away.
It was all fine, just not how I was expecting it, I was the fella closest to the flames.
After they left I took the dozen affected bales and put them all very far apart in the alfalfa field. Couple hours later sure enough 2 were smoking, I could unroll and smother them from where I had placed them on my own.
