| My wife is driving a 2020 Chevy Equinox with 2.0 Turbo 4 cylinder and likes it very much. It's got the optional AWD but she mostly drives in FWD mode unless the weather is bad. Mileage is around 26-28 mpg locally. No problems in 44,000 miles. We're car shopping again, not because we need a car, but because my daughter got a new job and needs a more reliable vehicle. We occasionally tow a small trailer hauling one horse or a couple of show pigs. The 2025 Equinox only comes with a 1.5 Turbo 4 with minimal tow capacity so that's out. Buick makes a model with 2.0T 4 similar to our 2020 Equinox but it's made in China so that's out for me. The Chevy Blazer is available with AWD and 3.6L V6 with 4500lb tow capacity. The Honda Passport only comes as AWD with a 3.5l V-6 and has 5000lb towing capacity. We tried both and while the Chevy was a bit sportier we liked the comfort and ride of the Honda. As an added bonus the Passport is made in Alabama, USA while the Equinox and Blazer are made in Mexico. | |
