East of Broken Bow | Do they do any backfires in California?
Around here, if there is a fire getting away, and is in an open area, we will backfire from the next road it is headed towards. Get guys who know what they are doing, and they can get a pretty wide line in a short period of time. The problem we face is uncertain liability concerns if a fire the department lights were to jump the road and get away, so it isn't done very often. | |
