| Serious thought on this issue: why not subsidize ozempic and like weight loss drugs? Corn syrup sure seems to sell well to the American public along with grain alcohol. 40% of the country has proven they have no self control with diet and exercise, why are we fighting them on it? Seems like a win-win for the US. Farmers sell more grain, workers are at a healthier weight (ergo more productive). I would honestly give my corn check off dollars to a program like that. Sure beats watching 350+lb people using a Walmart scooter to buy a case of Mountain Dew. Obviously isn’t going to work for everyone that tries it. I’d call it a win if half of the obese population could move into the overweight category. | |
