I bought an MS250 maybe 10 yrs ago, rebuilt the carb 3 times, barely used it more than 10 hours a yr (brush and fence clean up mainly). Other than the first year, when i would go to start it i would fire until i clicked the trigger, then it would bog down and die. Stihl dealer always claimed bad gas ( dumped gas out in front of him, and poured that stihl gas in and it still wouldnt run.)

The last time i used it it took 15 mins to get it started, and after i got it going, it had to be wide open to stay running. Cam was bad, was going to cost more to fix then buy new, so I got a new MS251 (i know dumb to buy basically the same thing, but for 250 more dollars i didn't think it was worth it for the next sized bigger saw) used it 1 time, and its already doing that f'king die as soon as the trigger is pulled again. Never again will i buy a stihl.
