As for the ground drying, I don’t know your ground, but mine drys just the same as conventional till. As for the planter, you won’t have any issues at all, I have a 16/31 1245 with no row tillage at all and it does great in stalks, actually used it right behind the combine this past fall to plant rye with. Had no issues getting through fresh corn residue.
