Strathcona, mn
I can’t understand the guys that say stihl are hard starting. If I hit choke and pull over once then nock choke back to full throttle and it doesn’t start then something isn’t set right. I have a 034 that I’ve had for 30 years, a 260 that’s a nice all around and then had a 066 with 48” bar before my guys lost it off truck down the road. I replaced it with a farmertec g660 for 1/4 of the money. Honestly the farmertec is the best bang for buck. I’ve had it 3 years and cut a decent amount of wood and it hasn’t failed yet. Parts are fully interchangeable with a 660 stihl. I have a 36” bar on it and you had better have some shoulders and be able to hang on cuz she just flat out cuts. No difference in performance to the 066 stihl I had. I have a battery Milwaukee that is super handy for trimming stuff around the farm but I wouldn’t want to cut truck loads of logs with it. There is nothing worse than having an underpowered turd!
