Had several of the old all metal Homelites before they went to the plastic throw away junk. Had an EZ and a couple Super EZ's that were high compression saws. Did a ton of fencerow, trimming, clearing, general wood cutting and lots of work along edges of woods. They were used and abused since I cut all my stumps off at ground level. Bought a used Homelite 350 with a new cylinder and piston that was a great saw until I could not get a replacement part due to lack of spark.

Stepped up and bought a Echo CS 590 Timberwolf with a 20" bar, high rpm and it is a cutting machine.

Also have a CS 303T top handle saw and the previous version model back when they were still gray in color. Only 12" bar but can cut some really big stuff and it's great for limbing and trimming and won't wear you out. Also very handy if you need to do any "in tree" work very controllable saw.

I also just bought a Echo polesaw that telescopes to compliment my Husqvarna fixed length pole saw. The Echo telescopes in and out so is more suitable in more situations. Also bought the 4 ft  additional extension shaft so I can reach those small branches along fencerows that inevitably hang down but did not have quite enough reach to cut off with the Husqvarna. As I get older I try to stay on the ground trimming like this or at least on a stable platform like a flatbed wagon. My days of climbing trees with spurs and a safety belt are over.

As always your mileage may vary.
