| I could see running row cleaners, although I run 15 inch rows so that doesn't work.
I do not run coulters, other than a few to help hold me on a hill.
On hard ground they can lift my openers off the ground.
Most places, I can't see much difference.
When I first got a 16/31 planter, I ran the row cleaners on the corn row and raised them up to do beans.
That worked fine for a few years, then one year it was cold and damp. The row cleaner beans came up about a week before the other rows.
Of course, that was the year I planted some for the neighbor.
I don't think it affected yields any, but made me nervous when the combine ran. | |
