Charles, we have a number of friends and business acquaintances in Quebec and they’re great people, but could you tell me why a province with a relatively large well educated population with excellent infrastructure, a lot of natural resources, cheap electricity and seaports would need $14B of Alberta’s money every year? I’m embarrassed that Ontario gets a single penny out if it too. The reality is Canada runs on western Canadian energy dollars.
For the same reasons that the majority of red states receives more than their "fair" share of federal funding at the expense of blue states.
