Cedar Rapids, Iowa | The Mini PCs tend to have lower power processors. They're perfectly fine for most tasks. With the advent of SSDs, the space requirement for a computer have shrunk and the whole thing fits in a pretty small case.
My go-to these days is a HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Desktop Mini. That model is right at 3 years old, so businesses that leased them are now turning them in and they're showing up on the used market (ebay). You can get one with 16 GB of RAM and a 500 GB SSD for under $250.
If you use software that really works the processor hard, such as CAD or video rendering, you'll probably be better off with a full size PC. | |
