Waldron, MI | I have both of those tractors. Both ILS, the 8430 is a PS, and the 8335R has an IVT. Reliability wise there's probably a slight edge to the 8430 but neither are out of line for tractors with 5,900 and 5,000 hrs. Fan drives have been updated on both, they've both has ILS/front driveshaft work done, the 8R has had a few more electrical issues.
The 8335R has noticeably more power pulling our Landoll disk. I love the IVT on the planter and grain cart. Basically they are both good tractors, my dad prefers the 8430 for the PS, I would pick the 8R every time as it's so much more comfortable to drive. | |
