Depends on the row unit. Our Yetter Magnums will go 7 inches deep in the fall. Typically run about 6 deep applying NH3.
They aren’t technically a strip till unit, but they work for us in 20 inch rows. Just enough bare soil in the spring to warm up the ground. Planter row cleaners widen it further.
I will say they pull straighter than our previous shank units. We seldom have to shift track our RTK to match with the planter.
