NE Iowa | It is possible that kids are just that smart but not doubt it. When I was in school in the late 80s we had a handful of kids that had straights A’s. Now half the class of 190-220 kids are straight A students. Really? We would have about 18 kids and the national honor society. Now….45-60 will be inducted. Basically if you fill out the paperwork you are in.
I know for a fact that the standards to which kids were held to 15 years ago are not achievable today. I know a teacher that tests second graders for reading. Almost none of the kids tested would pass the test they gave kids just a few years ago. The current test given is a ghost of what the test used to be.
