Why in heaven's name are you asking then? Sounds like your mind is made up. You don't Ike 308. By your description it's in the same level as a Daisy BB gun.
Some wd depend on your terrain. I wdnt think drop wd be an issue in your country.
It appears in the comments below there are plenty of folks that still favor the 308.
Anyone still using .308?
