I've had great luck both buying and selling on FB Marketplace. Set a few rules to live by:
1. Don't answer to "is this available" or negotiate on price online. Show up with cash in hand and we'll talk.
2. Take 30 seconds to stalk your buyer/seller by looking at location, pictures, mutual friends and posts. It's pretty easy to figure out fake accounts or scammers.
3. Don't share your address or phone number until you've done #2 and determined they're serious. If you can correspond over multiple messages and they reply timely, 9/10 times they're legitimate buyer/seller.
4. Know your value/price of what you got. List multiple places (groups, websites, etc.). | |
