We put on a set from shoup 5 years ago on a deere head. put them on and forgot them. works great, the springs are a good thing when you set the head on the ground, off the combine. Don't set them tight enough to slide on the dirt, just tip the stalks over is enough. can't see in our case where poly would help. just my thoughts.
