Fruita CO | Yup, the 4010 has been called the most copied tractor in history...closed center hyd., hydrostatic steering, planetary finals, etc., etc...in that light, the 4020 could be called the most successful copy of the 4010. It's hard to imagine now how radical the New Gen. tractors were in 1960...I heard of one wit around here who remarked, "looks like John Deere's goin' to the Moon". The story goes that the old shop foreman at the dealer here loaded up his tools & retired the day the first 3010 came in the yard, he said "I ain't workin' on them 4-cyl. sumbitches"..
