Subject: RE: Farming alone, more ideas

SW Ohio
Having over two dozen farms scattered over three townships and doing 90% of work alone I have this problem several times a day. Towbars are great, I built my own version and add hitches to the back of everything. Having a lot of friends helps too, can usually find one who is not busy. I also have a spare pickup and a cheap old car that I can spot drop the day before if I know I will be moving several times. Sometimes you have to make a flow chart to work out the logistics of moving everthing when you have two tractors and five implements and a couple trucks involved.
I try to always have my pickup with me for tools and emergencies and that persistant flat tire. But the most invaluable tool is the GF, had to buy her a 4x4 just so she could come pick me up.
