Tim typically its only those operating equipment dealers or repair shops who have gotten mad or made such staements when I have posted such business operational information in the past. The fact is such are common practice but owners of such companies don't want (either by embarrasment or greed) their customers to know that they are selling at such high prices over MSRP. Or that arbitrary fees are added just to line the pocket book further, which is the reason they are added. It is simply a "well they can do it so I can do it too" attitude that prevails. Taking the curtain down in such a public place disturbs them in general. Tough.

If they wanted me gone I have given them plenty of reasons to do that in the past. 2 things happen when a business is run your way, First I guarentee that a huge amount of bad mouthing occurs for every employee you boot out because of one slip up. Those words reach deep into farm country. If a supplier business makes a habbit of doing it their business will suffer as this information of their treatment will spread. 2nd such an enviroment creates ill will which cannot be discussed with the owners on any level. Even if you start out with an open dialog it will disappear as the employees see others being fired for expressing any opinion not matching management's. This situation wil evolve over time with your management ideals.

If a company is run in a truely professional way then employees would be far less likely to say anything bad about the place of their employment however, complaining about the job is as American as anything. Except for thoe who have not worked for someone else in either way too long or never at all.

I have never meant to steer anyone away from any good quality product. I try to pointout which ones are better in my experience. The fact is a farmer/mechanic creates a far better relationship with the customer than a non farmer mechanic ever would. The customers come looking to the service dept for informatin but this also brings in work and a better business reputation. Maybe a different sort of peope in you area?

At what point did I ever say anything about padding hours?
