The reason I asked the question in the first place was that if you look at some of the specs such as the timken load as compared to a "regular" lithium based grease , they really don't differ all that much, and in some cases if I remember correctly I believe I have seen higher ratings on non-syn grease. i dont know for sure if syn grease is alot better ,but from what i have seen on my own engines ,and at work on trucks syn oil is ALOT better. longer drain inervals and increased protection . did you see the old mobil#1 commericals on t.v.? .i tried that my self and it is true .regular oil will burn up much quicker than mobil #1 .im sold on syn. oil and grease .it does cost more ,but the price of oil and grease is a very small part of the cost in farming. havent tried it in my 20 year old tractors ,it might leak out. |
