Sioux Center, Iowa | I've had a 2550 and two 320's. Now run an '06 325. All had just under 1000 hrs on at trade. Header drive motor was just starting to get weak on the 2550 when I traded it, but those drive motors had recals anyway. Like I said, never replaced one of those pulleys, and nearly zero downtime over all those hours. I'm a firm believer in PREVENTATIVE maintenance. There are unfortunately some dealer mechanics that would do the public a service if they sacked groceries instead. I OWN the machines, and take care of them as I see fit. One of those 320's wasn't running full rpm's. NH said the pump would have to come off and get reset at a pump shop, so it would comply with emissions blah blah blah. I said, never mind, it's my machine, leave it alone. Took a dremel to the throttle stop till it ran exactly to rpm spec. End of problem.
Slam bang operators get what they deal out. That's also probably why I don't buy much used. | |
