Subject: RE: Fuel Storage Tanks

Last winter we bought a used 4,800 gallon fuel oil tank that came out of a factory for $500 that we are going to use for diesel, we also have a 1,000 gallon tank, two 500 gallon tanks, two 300 gallon tanks and a 300 and 500 gallon tanks on trailers. The 4,800 gallon tank will have to be diked, I think the dike has to hold 110% of the tanks capacity but don't quote me on that. I'm thinking about setting our big tank on a concrete pad then having a crane set an old 18' grain bin over the top of it, that will keep the fuel out of site plus by taring around the inside of the bin it will also serve as a dike.
