Ontario Canada
We have been running the SCH knife for years now and really like it, have had the rollers on for 3 years and finally after three full seasons of grain and beans there were maybe 2 rollers that were done, still worked but was worn out, bearing and actual roller, they don't wear your cutter bar or back of wear edge at all so your cutter bar and all usual wear parts will stay near perfect. I would recommend the roller guides for sure and the knife. To answer your question leroy yes they will cut quite nicely at 5.5 to 6 mph but keep the knife sharp and change if they are dull as cutting performance will drop. One other thing we learned is to take the time before harvest after a full year of cutting to sharpen the guards, it takes some time with a small die grinder but makes the cutting edge sharp again and cuts like new, the die grinder is easy to get in with a small blade and keep the square edges sharp on the guard, both sides. One person can pull the knife out of a 25' head so easily now with the rollers, makes it a snap to remove.
