I have a first calf heifer I posted about some time back that I caught nursing her dam not too long after both had calved. I couldn’t make a spiked nose ring work so I just let it be until I could get her out of the herd. She’s raising a beautiful heifer calf of her own that I’d like to save back but I’m wondering if this kind of thing is hereditary?
