MO | I have a landlord that acquired an adjacent piece of land, wants to extend our lease onto that ground as well. Its a smaller block, but prior owner was absentee and basically left it abandoned the past couple of years. Not really sure what the backstory is, not important, but it was partially worked (chiseled) in fall of '21 or '22 and has since grown up in everything imaginable, but mostly foxtail, fescue, and pigweed on the field edges. Field is level but very rough, so will have to be worked. Ground is gravelly rock but nothing large. High speed disc in this scenario? the fescue has come in pretty thick in spots, want to insure a good kill. I have no prior experience with high speed discs, and am all no-till, but like the idea on this piece for fast prep, IF it would effectively take out the fescue. | |
